great for a 4hour work

if i worked for four hours, i would have a ground bass line, and thats it. it didnt sound overblown so much as it was lacking in attack. do you have or can you get garageband? its a wonderful prog that comes free with any recent mac, but i dont think it exists for pc. i have done all my music with garageband, and it almost sounds completely real. i havent heard the original of this, but from your mix, it must be amazing.

somebody firebomb

blackattackbitch responds:

Thanks a lot man. BTW, I use FL Studio, like most of the people that I've seen on this site use apparently. I haven't seen garageband, but I'm pretty sure it has to be better than the demo version of FL Studio. And the original of this song can be found on imeem . com. But it takes a little work to find it. Just search chrono trigger (and maybe battle). You may have to check out a few songs to find the right one, but you should be able to find it. 1 thing that improves my work speed is that I work almost exclusively with samples, soundfonts, and a few very-simple vstis. But I do have a pretty new mac somewhere in my house, I'll check it out.

excellent

spectacular use of a drumset throughout, something that many composers tend to overlook and either make it extraordinarily too soft and/or forget that the double bass pedal exists. the euphs were not too loud anywhere that i heard, but i like ridiculously loud brass, so i might be biased. the scary section made the blood drain out of my face, and thats how i can tell when its really good, like with movement 15 of Pictures of an Exhibition, a clasical piece that you may not have heard and isnt on newgrounds but is amazing. you are one of the egoraptors of audio: nobody really cares about the professional quality as long as they enjoy it for what it is, in your case, a really great song that tells a wonderful story. keep up the good work!

blackattackbitch responds:

Thanks for the great review. And I'll make sure to check out that song. And the euphonium problem must have been purely a problem with my speakers then since my speakers are pretty cheap anyway. And you give me way too much credit. I may be tough on myself, but I see myself as needing tons more work to get to the level wherer I'll be satisfied. And u keep up the good work too!

epic

this mix would go great with a handheld FF game for the DS or GBA. with a prog like Logic Pro or GarageBand, this would have monumental potential. i can imagine te St. Germain fight from Castlevania: CoD to this.

blackattackbitch responds:

Lol I played that game too! I didn't even think about that! I might do a classical remix of theis song some day, but there's so much stuff I want to do first that I may not get to that for a couple months. And I'm still tryna figure out how one of my best songs turned out to be this one, which I just rushed through in a fit of rage. Thanks for the review!

that...

was INSANE. never have i ever heard such an incredible, full-frontal assault of metal in your face. 10/10, 5/5 and favorited.

TheBardOfBlasphemy responds:

metal in your face!
cheers for the listen, bro... keep rockin'
\m/

WTF...

was THAT?!?!? that is NOT creepy.

Mahargmot responds:

ya ,,, i know

oh... my... GOD!

you are some kind of agent of the gods, sent to make mortal composers cower in your unholy presence of metal. i bow to your superior superiorness, and admit that my song WGDB (final) tries and fails to emulate the genre of this masterpiece.

Devastus responds:

Hahaha, that's quite far out man :P Really appreciate your compliments, thank you.

...what?

you screwed it up. use reverb, not echo.

BowserThedestructive responds:

IDk what you think your a pesent..[jk]
seems your Being blammed Well it takes 2 to tango sadely.

definitely superior rock.

way better than a lot of the stuff out there. i could imagine a bunch of elvis zombies dancing with this.

Gerontius responds:

Nice of you to say. If you have any thoughts for improvements, do let me know. Thanks.

...huh?

my only complaint is that it "jumps" in tempo right at the end.

tehslaphappy responds:

Okay. Thanks.

very strangely named, but alright

dungeon? maybe the revenge of the techno monsters, more like.

titans2206 responds:

... its the legend of zelda dungeon remix, thats why its its called that, not revenge of the techno monsters

Experimenting with a spriting program, having some difficulty.
